Results of Impact Analysis of Car-Sharing Services and User Behaviour Delivers Interesting Results in Bremen

The long awaited final report of an independent study on the impact of car-sharing in the City of Bremen was published on Monday, May 7th. The study surveyed users of Bremen’s two largest car-sharing providers in order to gain a better understanding of their mobility behaviour, car-ownership rate, user needs and consumer behaviour. A survey was also conducted with a control group consisting of more than 500 non-users of car-sharing. The results of the study were used to develop recommendations for the City of Bremen and other cities as well.

Bergen Celebrates the Grand Opening of the City’s First “Mobilpunkt”

On May 8th, 2018, the Norwegian City of Bergen celebrated the grand opening of its first mobil.punkt – a car-sharing station on public street space linked to public transport, cycle routes, bicycle parking, real-time transport information and pedestrian facilities – with the City’s Commissioner of Urban Development, City officials, local business community members, transport operators and users – and the SHARE-North project partners and Interreg North Sea Region Programme Secretariat. The mobilpunkt is located in the City’s Møllendal neighbourhood and is the first of its kind not only in Bergen but in Norway as a whole!
