Bottom-up Initiatives, Living Streets, Shared Mobility Solutions are all important keywords for this upcoming event in Ghent that focusses on the "SelfCity", building the city of the future with citizens, and shared mobility as a building block of sustainable mobility for urban transport problems during the "Inspiration Day for Sustainable Mobility". High profile and engaging speakers from Belgium, Europe and beyond grace the programme and interactive working sessions make up the exciting programme of the events on November 9th and 10th, 2016.

This two day public event takes place in the beautiful city of Ghent in Belgium. On day one, “SelfCityGhent”, the event focuses around the question: “If we build the city of tomorrow together, then what becomes possible?” Stories from three countries will be shared. Three local voices will be watching and listening. The event is geared at neighbourhood intitatives and public officials.

The second day is the “Inspiration Day for Sustainable Mobility: Shared mobility as a goal, participation as a key. New roads for sustainable mobility”. This day geared at mobility professionals, local and regional authorities, civil society and interested parties.

Speakers include several partners from the SHARE-North project and supporting organisations as well as experts from cities, research insitutions and transport operators from Belgium.

The events will take place in English and Dutch and are free of charge (with an advance registration).
