Dr. Michael Johansson from Lund University will provide some insights from his dissertation on the value of public space, an attempt to quantify the value of ecosystem services provided by public green spaces in cities and the need for clever solutions that enable cities to reduce the consumption of urban space through car parking.
Lars Ove Kvalbein from the Norwegian City of Bergen and Rebecca Karbaumer from the German City of Bremen will provide some examples about the visions from their respective cities for reclaiming urban street space and the impacts that concrete solutions involving car-sharing that can already be measured.
