Missed last Friday’s "Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and Shared Mobility: The Perfect Couple" webinar? You can download the presentations here!

On March 24th, SHARE-North hosted its second “Dare to Share” webinar of the series. The theme of the webinar – just a week before the European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) in Dubrovnik, Croatia – was how policy frameworks like SUMPs and shared mobility complement each other. Jeffrey Matthijs from Autodelen.net (BE) gave a general introduction to different shared modes and their impact in cities and outlined how shared mobility can help cities reach goals outlined in their SUMP. Michael Glotz-Richter from the City of Bremen outlined Bremen’s Car-Sharing Strategy and how it contributes to a fairer distribution of public space.

If you’re interested in viewing Bremen’s Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan – passed at the end of 2014 – which features Car-Sharing in its sustainable mobility strategy and received the 2015 European SUMP Award, you can find it here in German and English.

The next “Dare to Share” webinar will focus on “Shared Solutions for Mobility Generators” such as business parks, hospitals, universities and how to manage traffic flows to and from these centres while supporting collective and sustainable mobility. Our speakers will be from the Travel Plan Network of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority in the UK and Interkommunale Leiedal in Belgium.
